His-story

his-story

Adam Pearlman was born in Queens, NY to two artistic parents. His father was a Creative Director for a big advertising agency and got him in to drawing at a very young age. Through the years he advanced from pencil and paper to the computer where he started using the first versions of Photoshop and Illustrator on an Apple computer. In high school his father saw the advancement of 3d and purchased one of the first commercially available 3d software programs, Ray Dream Studio. A year or two later they updated the program to be able to animate.

With a portfolio filled with sketches, graphic design printwork, and some 3d animations, he was awarded a portfolio scholarship to Savannah College of Art and Design.

After school he hit the ground running. His first job was as a 3d artist and compositor for a straight-to-dvd animated movie. He would eventually make his way back to New York City where he would hone his skills as a 3d animator and motion designer. Throughout his career he was highly sought after by studios such as Psyop, The Mill, Buck, Trollback, Loyalkaspar, Versus, and others. He has also worked for agencies like Grey, Tradeschool, and 22squared.

By the time he moved out of New York and down to Georgia at the end of 2020, he had become a successful Creative Director, Art Director, and VFX Supervisor. He still enjoys designing and animating when he can.

It’s been a 20 year journey and he still finds the joy in the art he creates. He is currently freelancing remotely from his office in Georgia and is always looking forward to working on the next great project!
